Designer of Everyday Objects!

Paul is an international award winning product designer, alumni of the prestigious National Institute of Design (NID), Electrical Engineer and a Cartoonist who re-defines everyday objects. His designs are led by consumer focused  innovation and refined sense of style.

He has designed over 300+ iconic everyday objects in 121 product categories for clients across 14 countries from his creative den: PAUL STUDIO

In 2004 he created the Spherical Bulb Holder  & Angular Multi-plug for GM Modular which became the most iconic best seller designs in India and have now become a standard for the entire electrical industry. Paul had also been actively involved in New Product Developments at LG Electronics, India & Seoul for nearly a decade where he led experimental, hence “First in India” kind of projects.

Winner of Red Dot Award (twice!) and numerous international awards his work has been extensively published / exhibited internationally including the Triennale Museum in Milan, Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt, Red Dot Award Show in Singapore, Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong, Lite-On Awards Show in Taiwan, Design Korea Exhibition/Design Olympiad in Seoul and Alliance Francaise in Delhi.

In 2010, Paul Sandip was awarded with 100% scholarship by Domus Academy,  the home of Italian Design in Milan.

Paul has been honored by Prime Minister of India Mr.Narendra Modias a Designpreneur in 2005 & President of Taiwan Mr.Ma Ying-jeou in 2010. In 2003 he received the guidance of Prof. Ezio Manzini, a world renowned expert on sustainable design from Italy. Paul’s work is held in permanent collections of Danish Design Museum, Copenhagen since 2009, as an example of Design to improve life!

He has designed medical devices for the Indian Rural Health sector in association with the Public Health Foundation of India as well as for an inventor from the National Health Services of the United Kingdom.

Since 2013, Paul is a Jury Member for the India Design Mark. He is also a registered industrial designer with the Government of India under the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Program.

In 2014, Paul was invited as a TEDx speaker  by Hewlett Packard (HP), Bangalore. His work shines bright for its simplicity and original design “thinking” as cited by industry experts, which led him to be featured by ForbesLife India Jan’16 edition for Re-imagining Everyday Objects! The same year he was commissioned by K-Mart  to design lifestyle products for their 191 retail stores in Australia.

In 2017, Paul was interviewed by NDTV Prime to share his expert thoughts on Innovation in Product Design for their show Mindspace.
